Their houses are in opposite direction across the street, with the Tiwaris residing in House no. She is the breadwinner of the family and despises her husband's unemployment and sheer laziness. On the other hand, his wife Anita is a headstrong, smart and modern day lady who runs grooming classes. Often called as 'Nalla' (a slang for being unemployed), he spends most of his time doing household chores. Their neighbour, Vibhuti Narayan Mishra, used to be an unsuccessful insurance agent and is now unemployed. Manmohan Tiwari is a successful undergarment businessman, whose wife Angoori is a simple and naive housewife. Both the husbands are fed up with their respective marriages and are smitten by each other's wives, unbeknownst to each other. The show takes place in the fictional 'Modern Colony' located in Kanpur, Uttar Pradesh, India and revolves around two neighbouring couples. Bhabiji Ghar Par Hain! is inspired by the 1995 Hindi sitcom Shrimaan Shrimati. I had an amazing time shooting for this track and hope the audience enjoys it as much as I enjoyed playing the part.The show has been controversial for its adult-oriented comedy theme and jokes but has garnered acclaim for its characters, stories and setting while also inspiring many other shows with similar themes. Being an actor, I am always keen to essay different characters and try new looks. And hence, to make him feel better Anokhe Lal Saxena decides to be Angoori's replacement in the house for the time being. Tiwari is not just perplexed but also very sad. They have a huge fight and hence, Angoori leaves his house and moves into Vibhuti's house.
